Demand for care is rising

In the years to come the demand for adult social care is projected to increase significantly, largely due to the UK’s ageing population.

The Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) predicts that 57% more adults aged 65 and over in England will require care in 2038 compared to 2018. The percentage increase projected for adults aged between 18 to 64 over the same period is 29%, according to a report published by the National Audit Office (NAO). *Source: Homecare UK.

With 1 million people requiring home care and only 10,000 home care providers, (equating to around 800,000 CQC registered home carers) currently in place to provide a service, there is work to be done in balancing those numbers and ensuring the quality of care is kept high across the UK.

How we can help

We Pay Your Carers (WPYC) has developed a payment service that brings mutual benefit for providers and carers alike. Our service combines the flexibility and financial benefits of being a self-employed carer, with the security of having the carers tax affairs and compulsory submissions taken care of.

This is a complete service that keeps the client and the carer at the forefront of its purpose. Saving the carer money is a key part of WPYC’s service and our expenses app is available to assist in doing this. Submitting Partnership Expenses via a personal account is quick and simple. The easy to use drop down menus provide prompts as to what items are considered HMRC allowable.
